How often should a built-in grill be professionally cleaned?

For most Jacksonville-area homeowners who grill weekly, once a year is the right cadence. If you grill several times a week, or your home is near the ocean or Intracoastal where salt air accelerates corrosion, twice a year is worth it. If the grill has never had a professional deep clean, start with one as soon as possible — grease buildup in the firebox and grease system is the leading cause of grill fires.

Do you service my grill brand?

Almost certainly. We service every major built-in grill brand found in First Coast outdoor kitchens, including Blaze, Bull, Lynx, DCS, Alfresco, Twin Eagles, Coyote, Summerset, Fire Magic, Napoleon, and Weber Summit built-ins. If you have something unusual, mention the brand in your quote request and we'll confirm before scheduling.

What's included in a grill cleaning?

A complete teardown: we remove the grates, burners, and heat plates; deep-degrease the firebox, hood interior, and every component; clear the burner ports; clean out the entire grease management system; polish the exterior stainless steel with the grain; then reassemble everything and run a full test burn to verify even flames before we leave.

How much does grill cleaning cost?

Grill cleaning starts at $349, with most jobs around $400 depending on grill size and condition. Cleaning + inspection starts at $449 (most around $500). Stainless steel restoration adds $150–$300 based on surface area. We confirm a firm price before scheduling, and the price never changes on-site.

How long does a cleaning take?

Most appointments take two to four hours depending on grill size and condition. Heavily neglected grills or full outdoor kitchens with side burners and multiple appliances can take longer. Your grill is ready to cook on the same evening.

Do I need to be home during the service?

No — as long as we have access to the outdoor kitchen and a water spigot, you don't need to be there. Many customers (especially second-home owners) give us gate or lockbox access. We send photos and a summary when the work is done.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the greater Jacksonville area: Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, the Jacksonville Beaches (Neptune, Atlantic, and Jax Beach), St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Ortega, and Orange Park/Fleming Island. If you're near but not in one of those areas, reach out — we can often accommodate.

How does the Annual Maintenance Membership work?

Members get an annual deep cleaning, a written condition/inspection report, stainless steel restoration included, priority scheduling (including weekend slots), and discounted repairs. It runs $599–$699 per year depending on your equipment. You book once and we handle the schedule from there — most members never think about grill maintenance again.

Can't my pressure-washing or house-cleaning company do this?

We'd recommend against it. Pressure washers force water into gas valves and igniters, and wire brushes permanently scratch stainless steel and embed carbon particles that cause rust. Built-in grills need disassembly and component-level cleaning with stainless-safe products — that's all we do, on every job.

Can you remove rust and discoloration from my stainless steel?

Usually, yes. Surface rust, tea staining (orange-brown freckling), and heat tint (rainbow discoloration) polish out with our restoration service. Deep pitting from years of unchecked salt exposure can be improved and halted but not fully erased — we'll give you an honest assessment before any work begins.

Do you check for gas leaks?

Gas safety checks are part of our cleaning + inspection service: we soap-test accessible connections, evaluate the regulator and hoses, and test every igniter and valve. A standard cleaning includes a full test burn; if we ever notice something unsafe on any job, we tell you immediately.

How do I pay, and do you offer guarantees?

We accept card, check, or bank transfer after the work is complete — no deposits for standard services. Every job is backed by our satisfaction guarantee: if you're not happy with the result, we come back and make it right.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We're fully licensed and carry liability insurance appropriate for working on high-value outdoor kitchens. Proof of insurance is available on request, including for gated communities that require it for vendor access.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Very little is needed: clear personal items off the grill island, make sure we can reach the outdoor kitchen and a water spigot, and let us know any gate codes. We bring everything else — degreasers, tools, tarps to protect your pavers or deck, and our own cleanup.
